MESSIER45?

IN 1774 FRENCH ASTRONOMER CHARLES MESSIER RELEASED HIS CATALOGUE DES NEBULEUSES ET DES AMAS D’ETOILES, THIS CATALOGUE CONTAINED 110 ASTRONOMICAL OBJECTS, MESSIER WAS ONLY INTERESTED IN FINDING COMETS SO HE COMPILED A LIST OF THOSE NON-COMET OBJECTS THAT FRUSTRATED HIM ON HIS SEARCH.

Number 45 on Messier’s list is the open star cluster, The Pleiades, also known as The Seven Sisters. At a distance of about 444 light years from earth it is one of the nearest star clusters.

WHEN I FIRST STARTED DESIGNING MY BRAND I WAS FOCUSED ON ALIEN LIKE CREATURES INSPIRED BY THE PLEIADIANS.

As my brand developed, I steered away from this idea but struggled to find another name that struck me the same way messier45 did, so here we are now a 70’s inspired brand with a name that has nothing to do with the 70’s! But I have so much love for this name and I hope you all do to.

We acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional owners and elders, both past and present, of all the indigenous groups mentioned.
